Dr. Antonova graduated with honors from the New York University for her undergraduate degree. Subsequently she obtained a Doctor of Medicine Degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, where she achieved distinction in the Foundations of Medicine. Her exceptional accomplishments were further recognized through prestigious awards, including those celebrating her achievements in Anatomical Sciences and Academic Achievement. Notably, Dr. Antonova was inducted into the esteemed medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.

During her residency training in ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate University, Dr. Antonova served as the chief resident in her last year. Her dedication to teaching was recognized with the E. Clifford Lazzaro, MD Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Antonova then pursued advanced training in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the renowned Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout her training, Dr. Antonova actively contributed to the medical community by publishing in medical journals as well as teaching residents and medical students.

Dr. Antonova’s extensive training and expertise enable her to specialize in a wide array of medical and surgical treatments. Her scope of practice encompasses cataract surgery, including the utilization of cutting-edge techniques like femtosecond laser cataract surgery. She is proficient in performing various types of corneal transplants such as DSAEK, DMEK, PKP, and DALK, and is skilled in corneal collagen crosslinking and pterygium management. Furthermore, Dr. Antonova provides comprehensive ophthalmology services, encompassing glaucoma and diabetes screenings, management of dry eye, ocular surface, and cornea diseases as well as performing in-office lasers.
